The never ending work and higher mental demand in university have unfortunately taken all of my time. Sometimes there's just nothing to report or to say. Sometimes strange incidents out of nowhere keeps you pretty occupied.

Well holiday's weren't the most excellent this time and did include changing my bedsits lock with a massive cost and never ending rain. (Positively thinking the next one should be a blast!)

I remember a few years a go (I think it was a new year) in the centre of Helsinki when fighting against a snow storm we tried to make our way back home. Finally after 20min walking in thick snow and 20min of waiting we got a cab and decided to have the best after party among adults that you can have. Changing from party outfits to more sport orientated, "borrowing" a few kids toboggans and soon we found ourselves from head to toe covered in snow cheeks red and eyes glowing from the wine from the bottles in our hands smiling to the first rays of sun in the horizon.

Oh memories, oh times...

Here's a few pics from the last months. Again: Pictures tell more than a thousand words!

Pepper cake house I made for the kids in one of the families I help/work as a babysitter. Was a big HIT during christmas I heard.
My family remembered me during christmas with a lot of finnish sweets (still got some left!), chocolate and something else to keep me warm during long winter nights than my course books.
Shauna & Me ready for The Halloween party!
Halloween continues with work colleagues And you just can't wear the same outfit two nights in a row can you?...

Best breakfast ever.
The picture above was again from one of these days when time slows down and you smell, hear, see and taste all the details of the time passing. Of course in these special moments you are always prepared and on your best... like in your fart pants, no make-up and Tina Turner hair taking your dirty laundry for the coin launderette near by when you find your way to next door cafe that blows your mind and takes your breath away. So many gluten-free options! You wouldn't believe! They even make their own gluten-free pasta! So there I was in this chic cafe/restaurant with my blue IKEA bag and fart pants enjoying the best breakfast ever while my laundry spent some rolling time in the washing machine next door.

Lately London hasn't exactly made me feel that welcomed as a sometimes even promising student nor as a hard working immigrant.  Things may be a bit grey at times and you're not always prepared for everything. Least prepared how the bureaucracy makes everything look so good on a paper but in fact things are everything else than that.  Actually the hatred and mistreatment towards immigrants is unbelievable BUT there are those who actually stand on your side and help you get through. I didn't even realize that in this short time period here I have made so many good friends!

In conclusion the people and these small little funny moments make everything worth while...

Here's a song that makes me cry every single time I hear it... Becoming old and sentimental? Nah! Let the year 2014 be the year I find a man who can sing it!

PS. Over a year ago sent me a letter telling me everything she wanted but could be hard face to face or you just never tell those thing. I adopted her idea so don't be surprised if you get letter from me. (No nothing bad! Even thought I'm a person lacking a filter from the front of her mouth and who has too many things to say that most of the time wont make any sense.. this is purely a promise I made for the year 2014: Contact everyone who has a great part in your life!)
