Once again one of those mornings when you have to wake up and get prepared to face another day at work and end up rushing there with your head as the third leg (like we would say in Finland). During that maniac rushing around and only minutes of serenity occur in the escalators and usually you empty headed stare at the adverts or try to catch an eye contact with the hotties traveling the other way right?...

During those couple of weekend days I found myself overwhelmed about the beauty of the strangest features of peoples calcaneus tendons. Too short trousers and a pair of women's leggings revealed everything to me!

"Why are those so visible?..."
"Is the person way too skinny?..."
"Omg they are sooooooo strong!"
"The right one is slightly tilted due to the collapsed arch in the foot or too much of an eversion..."
"You can really see the lines and features of them"
"Could I take a picture of them?"

You may get a clue what it's like to catch yourself thinking thoughts like this?... And this didn't happen just once but every morning last weekend on my way to work!

In what point can you say that you have san a bit too much in to the world of osteopathy and medicine? There's nothing wrong with some curiosity right?...

And the Cupid has also thought me a lesson or two.... That winged small guy's arrows are blimey sharp and that's not all! I'm pretty sure he has learned some Kung Fu too! After these bruises of love you would think that you would get smarter in time but yet again I find myself with an black eye from Cupid: We had such a good time, he seemed to be so into me and then I don't get text messages/phones calls in time nor even proper answers....  This time my good  friend Jaqs opened my eyes and returned me back on the surface of the earth and I realized again something that I learned when I was only three years old and absolutely fascinated about the fish my mom cached into a bucket in one of our family summer vacations at summer cottage back in Finland. "Why would the fish move their mouth if not to speak?..." So I spend my time with the professional  serious look and handling skills that only a three year old can have to teach them to speak. After hours still nothing... Oh that disappointment and humiliation of not succeeding!

In conclusion: don't try teach people to do/see/speak things that aren'r really there: it's like teaching fishes to speak. Things don't appear out of thin air! (And if he can't see how awesome you are why to bother? His loss!)

So just to save the leftovers of my sanity, emotions and time I just better move on and continue with my life. Besides... it's HALLOWEEN!

Halloween's traditionally the end of harvest celebration and the day when the line of the spirit world and our world is at it's thinnest. Western civilization has found an amazing way to celebrate it by dressing up to spooky (slutty among adult women) outfits and running around trick or treating for candy when a kid and after some booze deals in adulthood.

So of course there are some wicked parties to attend on thursday, friday and saturday!

Once in a while you wake up to "live in a moment" and the time freezes for a split of a second around you.

Just like last week when the first thing that I did during that day was to swing with the kids, play hide'n seek and have a picnic under a big oak tree while it was raining then gathering myself to university lecture to DR and investigate the amazing anatomy of dissected heads and in the end of the day find myself at work adjusting glasses and giving style advice.... in the evening I stopped for a second with a small smile on my lips and started giggling to myself.

At least the day passing is never like the day before!

I decided to avoid sleeping with my windows open. There are some odd creatures outside. At least it sounds like it. Sometimes it sounds like a child is hurt (which always wakes up my motherly instinct...) and in seonds it changes to a wicked  witches laughter and from there to the spooky callings of an owl.

Yep I'm talking about the city foxes. More multilingual imitating animal is still yet to be found to beat the fox!

Just to save the remainings of my sanity I'll keep the window closed...

And the next video I just had to share. Those living in northern countries will understand this nordic idea of a romance 100%!

And you wonder why I moved to London?...

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the simple gestures etc. But you just get bored if this is the highlight of your romantic relationships...

Oh those sweet memories!

Unbelievable how my work and studies can effect  my blog writing! But no worries sweeties because mama's back!

Still working and studying my ass off as usual and still single. Not a many things have changed I must say. BUT I do live now only 10min away from the uni and have my very own (rented) bedsit in amazing safe and green area with lovely neighbours.

And I actually dated for a few months but unfortunately things can get a bit complicated. And no. Not a result from internet dating. I actually had a few dates from all of those pages and met interesting people. Some more charismatic then others and a couple of dodgy ones too.  Dinners, stand up, drinks, parks... You name it! There are the ones that are really looking for something with all their hearts and those who simply uses it as sort of a game. Have to say that I now understand how some can find the other half from the cyberspace but also learned that it simply isn't my thing. I need to meet the person face to face. Eyes are the windows to the persons soul they say and I agree to that 100%.

Maybe now when I'm not looking I will be surprised by the most amazing, tall, dark and handsome gentleman with a bit bad boy in him.... OR I find myself again next to a neurology and clinical methods books wearing still yesterdays clothes and wondering why I didn't even bother to take my shoes off when crawling into my bed?

Here's a few moments from the last few months. Pictures tell more then thousand words!

When I had the change: Notting Hill Carnival!
Dancing, music, people, sun..

Other times when not at work or uni revising in the parks.

Back home in Finland. Parents place.

Sometimes I do miss the sea.

Well not the seagulls

Helsinki = Blocks of flat Vs. Nature. Love it!

One of Helsinki's landmarks: The Helsinki Cathedral (or the Church of Doom as we finn's know it.)

Notice the population? Yep... and look at the logical architecture and city design. BOOM!

From my old neighborhoods in Helsinki. Used to live around the corner!

Helsinki by Night

One of the best parts when visiting Helsinki: Catching up with my friends and my friends Mia's and Lauri's beautiful wedding music, dancing, games, international atmosphere... (with us being the nosiest table at the reception and me baking the famous hangover cupcakes. Delicious but the icing looked exactly like done by a hangover baker with terribly trembling hand..and why did all of us in our group have a extra bottle of the "strength drink" when finnish weddings are famous of having an endless supply of alcohol? I can always trust my friends!). The conversations with Mari reminded me again how lucky we are to face challenges.  It wasn't a surprise to find myself with yet again getting these brilliant ideas with my friend Anne: Hangover dinner at McDonalds. (Gluten free!) and a desert at Hesburger (another fast food place). Why?!... And oh those amazing sangria spiced conversations and memories with Milja and Saara. Priceless!

Beautiful just married couple and the cake cutting.

Fish, potatoes, summer salad... the beauty of finnish food!

It was such a weird couple of days when getting used to London and routines again. After those days I realized how London has become my home and a big part of me. I'm always finnish and will keep the national characteristics exposed to the world (wether they like it or not...) but you can't take the London out of me anymore. (Or should I say me out of London?) Well anyway... this is my home now!

My home. Finally traditional London living!
even got my coffee maker in MY kitchen!

Marilyn or anatomy posters: Decisions, decisions... In the end didn't want to scare the possible suitors away!

thanks to IKEA for making all this possible!
